Ballet is the foundation for all other styles. Through barre, center and across floor exercises, ballet will improve dancers’ body alignment, build strength and increase flexibility. We encourage all dancers to take ballet. Bonus ballet is offered to any dancer who is already registered in one other ballet class.
This high energy class combines technique and choreography with today’s upbeat tunes. Dancer’s will kick, jump and turn across the floor for technique and then learn choreography to tie all of their moves together. At Turner Danceworks we follow the ADAPT Jazz syllabus.
This rhythmic and technical class is for dancers who love making noise and playing with beats. Through across the floor and center work, dancers will learn intricate footwork and how to play with syncopation and rhythms. At Turner Danceworks we follow the ADAPT Tap syllabus.
Lyrical combines elements of jazz and ballet and draws inspiration from music lyrics. Contemporary combines elements of jazz, ballet and modern and encourages dancer to explore the boundaries of their own physical movement.
Dancers who are at least 12 years old with a few years of ballet training may be invited to our pre pointe class. This class is dedicated to the introduction of pointe with a lot of strength and technique development. Dancers with previous dance experience are invited to join our pointe classes.

Progressing Ballet Technique is an innovative program. Exercises use stability balls, therabands and other tools to train muscule memory to encourage personal best in classical ballet. Each exercise has been developed with care and guidance with a team of physiotherapists. This class will encourage dancers to further develop their skills in all styles.
Acro is a fusion of dance and acrobatic tricks. During this class dancers will work on individual acro tricks as well as partner stunts and lifts. This class is designed to help build strength, flexibility and control through gymnastics style movement. At TDW our qualified instructors follow the Acrobatique syllabus.

Hip Hop is a perfect class for dancers who like to move and groove to the hottest songs. This class will combine different styles of hip hop such as popping, locking and break dancing, while exploring different rhythm and beats. This is a fun and high energy class.

Payments are made in monthly installments by credit card or e-transfers. Payments can also be set up for for one or two lump sum payments, please contact office@turnerdanceworks.com for more details.
Unlimited Class Discount: When you register for more than f classes, pay for four classes receive every additional class for FREE. Discounts will be given on the shortest registered class.
Withdrawals and refunds: All withdrawals and refund requests must be made before the first of the month to be eligible.
Additional fees: All annual dancers are encouraged to participate in our year-end recital. Participation includes a costume fee of $80/dancer. This fee will be added at the time of registration. If you do not wish to participate in the year-end recital, you must notify the office in writing prior to February 1st.
Ballet
Option #1 - Bodysuit, tight, ballet skirt (optional) and pink ballet slippers. Hair in a bun.
Option #2 - T-shirt, dance shorts and black ballet slippers.
Jazz
Option #1 - Bodysuit, tights, leggings or shorts and beige split sole jazz shoes. Hair in ponytail or bun
Option #2 - T-shirt and dance shorts and black split sole jazz shoes.
Tap
Option #1 - Bodysuit, tights, leggings or shorts and black tap shoes. Hair in ponytail or bun
Option #2 - T-shirt and dance shorts and black tap shoes.
Acro
Bodysuit, footless tights, leggings or shorts and bare feet. Hair in ponytail or bun.
Musical Theatre and Hip Hop
Bodysuit, tights, leggings or shorts and clean indoor running shoes. Hair in ponytail.
